Construction Safety Compliance

Construction

Construction site foremen have a lot to worry about both on and off the job site. Foremen need to think about ladder safety, PPE, pedestrian safety, fall protection, lock out/tag out and that's just the beginning. CCI can assist your job superintendent in many health, safety and environmental areas. Allow us to provide site safety inspection reports on a regular basis or we could provide one of our Site Safety Coordinators to be on your construction site while you work in order to ensure proper safety practices are being used. We can also train your employees in proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, fall protection, ladder safety and PPE.

Last year, the most cited violation out of all possible industries and all possible violations was scaffolding in the Construction Industry. Fall Protection was a close second. CCI can provide your company with general inspections on scaffolding, including guardrail height requirements, toe boards, etc., and train your employees on proper usage. Fall protection and prevention trainings and ladder safety trainings are also available.

A Hazard Communication Program is important to have in place. Should you ever be inspected by OSHA, they most likely will ask to see your program. Lock Out/Tag Out programs are also important on a construction site. Your employees should all be trained in proper safety practices regarding LO/TO.

Looking to save money on workers' compensation insurance premiums?

A safety committee in your company could be the answer. CCI can provide annual training to your safety committee to make sure you meet all premium reduction requirements. CCI can also supply your company with an individualized Toolbox Safety Training Manual. These safety refresher meetings will increase safe practices around the jobsite. Subcontractors need to know your high standards for safety. They should be included in monthly safety meetings conducted by a safety professional from CCI right at your site.

OSHA Construction Training

Compliance Consultants, Inc. also offers 10 & 30–Hour OSHA Construction Trainings. One of our OSHA–authorized outreach trainers will come to your facility or jobsite to conduct the 10 or 30–Hour OSHA Construction courses for your group of employees. The OSHA 30–hour course can be conducted in three or four consecutive days. The OSHA 10–hour course can be conducted in one or two days.

The 10–hour OSHA Construction course is recommended for all employees in the construction field, while the 30–hour OSHA course will benefit jobsite foremen, project managers and all management in the construction field. The 30 hour course can also be altered to incorporate competent person training for specific job tasks. Each employee will receive notes, packets and other handouts throughout the courses. After the course, attendees will receive the official wallet card issued by OSHA, to certify they successfully completed the OSHA 10 or 30–hour Construction Safety Course.
