Hearing Conservation Program

Hearing Conservation

OSHA requires that all employers administer a continuing, effective Hearing Conservation Program to measure, monitor and limit the noise exposure of workers on a job site. The Hearing Conservation Program consists of measuring, tabulating and analyzing sound levels and the duration of high noise levels workers are exposed to.

CCI will come to your job site and perform a sound level assessment. Based on the results of the assessment, CCI will provide the necessary guidance to ensure that your company complies with the OSHA regulations and, more importantly, that your employees' hearing remains unaffected by noise exposure on the job. CCI will make recommendations to alleviate the noise exposure through engineering controls, protective equipment and other means.

How does noise exposure affect your company?

Without proper sound level measurements, your employees may be subject to noise exposure above the level that the human ear can tolerate. Over time, this can cause irreparable damage to the ear drum causing your employees to partially or fully lose their hearing. A Hearing Conservation Program can ensure that noise exposure is held to a tolerable level; and thus help to eliminate potential workers' compensation and non–compliant claims against your company.
